Power of Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi

Lord Maha Vishnu took the Narasimha Avatar to kill the demon king Hiranyakasipu who's the father of Prahalada. After being so furiously fought with this much electricity to kill the king, the anger and the ferocious of Narasimha didn't return. With so much anger, Narasimha could not distinguish between good and bad people and started disturbing everyone, and no one could restrain him. People prayed to Lord Shiva to save them.

Lord Shiva chose a new and highly effective form or Avatar as Sarabeswara, together with lion's head and eagle's wings. Shakthi accompanied Lord Shiva in the Kind of Sri Mahaprathyangira Devi, seated on one of the wings of Sri Sarabeswara. Sarabeswarar went and subsided Narasimha's anger to bring back peace.

Two rishis from the early days, Pratyangira and Angiras, found this goddess throughout her moola mantra in the ethereal waves of their sound current inside their profound meditation. And though this Mom is nameless, she admired these Rishis by providing the blessings to be called after them. She has been known as Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi. The beejaksharam (seed correspondence ) of her mantra is ksham (bliss).

Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi is powerful and covertly protects devotees and others. She's always at the side of Her devotees. She's within every single being in all planes of existence, and there'll be awakened within.
An awareness of Sri Maha Pratyangira Devi was quietly known until later, even though the Siddha masters and wonderful maha rishis like Sri Dhurvasha Munivar and Puli Paani Siddhar are devotees of this mother.
Prathyangira Amman has been believed to have been born to calm Narasimha Swami's anger and also to conserve the world from his anger after he killed Asuran Hiranyakashipu. One story in our Purana says that when Hiranyakashipu was killed, Narasimha swami's Ugraham (Ferociousness-Anger) was unbearable and couldn't be pacified with other Gods. They feared his anger might destroy the three worlds, and all inventions will develop a stand-still. The Gods approached Lord Shiva to help calm Narasimha Swami.

Lord Shiva worshiped the Tri Shaktis (Parvati, Mahalakshmi & Saraswathi) and, with their joint forces, incarnated in the form of a Sarabha Pakshi as Lord Sarabeshwarar. From his horns seemed an enormous fearful Goddess named Prathyangira. Her shape was powerful, 1000 times bigger than Sarabeshwarar, her head rising above the clouds along with her toes well to the underworlds, fearsome with 1000 faces of roaring lions, 2000 protruded bloodshot red eyes, 2000 palms with numerous ayudham, 1000 blood-stained tongues protruding from her wide-opened mouth.

It is believed her creation came with thunder and lightning. As soon as Narasimha Swami saw her huge figure, he comprehended that the mission of his Avataram and calmed immediately. Within her potri malai, she is superbly called "Sarabeshan Rekkaiyaal Vandhavale Potri, Seeriya Simha mugam etravale Potri, Narasimhan Ugiram Thaniththavale Potri, Engal Annai Sri Prathyangira Potri."

Like Varahi Amman, many people fear maintaining a photograph of Prathyangira since she is once again thought of because of Ugraha Deivam or even Dushta Deivam. Individuals who think like that are oblivious of karunai, azhagu, mahimai. "Aval Samaanya Patta Deivam Illai.... Maha Mayee". We often find her mouth wide opened if we look at her, which makes many dread her. There is two variant that I have heard about this roopam. One is that with her mouth wide open, she awakens in all of the Dushta Shakthi, Valvinaigal, Theeya Shaktis and releases her bhaktas from Drishti and Seivinai. Within her Potri Malai, She's called"Val Vinaigal Yaavaiyume Theerpavale Potri, Engal Annai Sri Prathyangira Potri."

If a person reaches the liberation point or Uccha Dhyana Nilai, it's thought that the mouth has been broadly opened. Prathyangira forever performs Dhyanam or Yoga for us, for her bhaktas. She's Sri Chakra Swaroopini. "Ksham" is her Bheeja Mantram. While talking about Prathyangira Amman, she is often associated with Bhairavar. . She's named Bhairava Pathnee or Atharvana Bhadra Kali (since Kali is thought to be Bhairavar's wife). Inside her Potri Malai, she's called"Bhairavar Manam Niraindhai Potri." She is considered to be the protector of the Universe, that the Nayaki of Atharvana Vedam. Back in Ayyawadi, Thanjavur, she is seated in the middle of a graveyard.

We will need to understand from this that she's a Dushta Devadhai, but like Lord Shiva, she is your Amman who provides us Gnyanam, self-realization. She is not to be mistaken as someone who causes Death or is connected with Death. By residing in the graveyard, surrounded by skull bones and burning pyres, she's revealing the fact correlated with Maanida Jenmam.

Worshipping Prathyangira Amman prevents us from all kinds of doshas, injuries, enemies, disorders, wrath, curses, barriers, black magic. She bears 8 snakes on her physique. Her Potri Malai explains her "Ashta Nagam Konda Kali Thirisuli." Those who've Sarpa Dosham or regularly find frightening fantasies between Snakes can worship Prathyangira Devi to get immediate relief. It's believed that Prathyangira Amman eases us from Rahu Dosham and Varahi Amman relieves us in Ketu Doshas. Devotees who've experienced her Mahima have shared stories wherein simply spreading her kumkum around the house or at the home's entry acts as a barrier and protects the home and household from Dushta Atma, snakes, and other Visha (poisonous) Jeevangal.

A temple for Sri Maha Prathyangira Devi is situated in a small village called Ayyavadi around 6 km in Kumbakonam. Located just 500 mts from Uppiliappan temple, this village was once called Aivar Padi. According to legends, the five Pandavas visited this place, kept their weapons beneath a tree, worshipped Sri Maha Prathyangira Devi, and moved around in the forests. Since the five Pandavas worshipped here, it is believed that the place was called Aivar Padi, which later shifted to Ayyavadi.

At Ramayana, Indrajit, Ravana's son, conducted a Yaga called"Nigumbalai Yagam," worshiping Sri Maha Prathyangira Devi. It's believed that by that Ayyavadi, he performed the Yaga. If he'd completed the Yaga successfully, he would have got the powers to kill Rama.

But it was spoiled by Lakshmana and Anjaneya's prior conclusion. Here the Devi is seated on the chariot with 4 lions, 8 ft with weapons possessing Lion's face. Sri Maha Prathyangira Devi's worship will eliminate all evil powers and unsolvable issues from your life.
